IMPROVING HOME & COMMUNITY BASED SYSTEMS
HCBS Strategies is a small consulting firm and a thought leader on building and improving home and community-based supports. Through disability services consulting and practical, policy-informed guidance, we help clients design programs that work in the real world.
- Our mission is to help build systems that maximize individual control and community integration for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
- Our clients include Medicaid agencies, State Units on Aging, Area Agencies on Aging, and other governmental and private sector agencies that support people with disabilities.
- We have experience with all populations with disabilities, including older adults, younger adults with physical disabilities, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with disabilities, and individuals with mental health challenges.
HCBS Strategies is collaborating with interRAI to help states use better data—by supporting interRAI ID implementation and broader interRAI assessment systems, and by helping states leverage that data to improve program operations, inform person-centered planning, and support evidence-based policy.
